June 2024 has been a month of significant progress and improvements at Turbit. These advancements include the enhancement of AI monitoring capabilities, optimization of data extraction, and notable strides in both the Copilot and Blade Monitoring projects.
AI Monitoring & Data Pipeline
Expanded SCADA Mapping: Our AI Monitoring Data Pipeline has been enhanced with additional SCADA mappings, enabling more robust AI monitoring capabilities, driving precision in performance analytics.
Stabilized Data Connection: The optimization of our data pipeline has resulted in a more stable and reliable data connection. This stability ensures seamless data flow and uninterrupted monitoring.
Unified Data Objects: Unified objects for assets and measurements were created, allowing users to effortlessly extract data from diverse datasets for a single turbine or sensor measurement. This streamlines data analysis and reporting, making insights more accessible and actionable.
ML Monitoring Enhancement: By filtering out downtime events, our ML Monitoring system now sends fewer, more relevant alarms, thereby improving operational efficiency and ensuring critical issues are prioritized.
Datahub & Platform
IEC 61400-25-2 Standard Mapping: The first mapping based on the IEC 61400-25-2 standard has been successful implemented, enhancing interoperability.
Enhanced Data Extraction: Our data extraction pipeline has been finalized, leveraging data nodes to streamline the data gathering process from OPC servers. This accelarates data collection and ensures data integrity.
Faster API Performance: By parallelizing MongoDB calls, our API performance has been significantly improved, ensuring faster data retrieval and processing. This upgrade is crucial in delivering real-time insights and driving fast decision-making.
Copilot and Blade Monitoring
High-Accuracy Data Extraction: Data extraction in the Copilot project has achieved over 95% accuracy for monitored fields. This precision is instrumental in delivering reliable and actionable insights.
Scalable Copilot Features: Our Copilot has become more scalable and efficient with the implementation of automatic type guessing from OpenAI extractions, enhancing adaptability and data processing.
Blade Monitoring Proof of Concept (PoC): Significant progress has been made towards the PoC for Blade Monitoring. A sophisticated reading adapter has been integrated to access data from the Datahub API and rigorous checks were conducted on data availability and structure. This advancement is key in ensuring comprehensive and accurate blade monitoring.
Team and Infrastructure
Hiring and Onboarding: Turbit is growing, and we are happy to welcome two new team members to the development team:
Paul Kleinschmidt - Data Engineer
Jiyoon Park - Full Stack Software Engineer
New Office: We are moving to a new, bigger office. The new space offers more room for our growing team, with additional meeting rooms and collaborative spaces. The new office will provide a more comfortable and dynamic working environment for our 20+ team members.
Summer Event: Our annual summer event brought our whole team together and was a great opportunity to celebrate our achievements, and most importantly, have a good time together while looking forward to what is coming next.
This month's developments in AI monitoring, data extraction, and project development, together with our summer event and new office, bring us one step closer to a more sustainable and innovative future. We look forward to building on this momentum in the coming months.
