How Energiequelle solved damage in the generator
Stator-winding temperatures jumped on October 24th, 2022 on a SAB turbine operated by Energiequelle. Turbit's alarm system raised the anomaly; the operator traced the root cause to a malfunctioning frequency converter and pushed the diagnosis to the service partner. The converter was replaced on February 7th, 2023 — turbine returned to rated power immediately, no further incidents since.

Turbit's alarm system enabled us to quickly identify and rectify an anomaly in our wind turbine, ensuring uninterrupted energy production.

Sudden change in generator temperatures
On October 24th, 2022, an initial temperature increase appeared in the stator windings of the generator on one of SAB's wind turbines under Energiequelle's operation. Turbit's alarm system identified the anomaly and raised the alert. The turbine's output also varied intermittently between 2,300 kW and 1,185 kW from October 24th, and was continuously throttled to 1,185 kW from December 19th onward.

Root cause and OEM response
Energiequelle investigated the anomaly and traced it to a malfunctioning frequency converter that was driving up the elevated temperatures. They sent the analysis to the service partner, who scheduled the converter replacement.
Successful collaboration and minimal impact
On February 7th, 2023, the service partner replaced the frequency converter. Temperatures returned to the normal range immediately after the exchange. No subsequent incidents have been reported and the turbine has been operating at rated power without anomaly. Total resolution: 3.5 months from initial detection, with 137 MWh of energy loss bounded across that window.

Main Bearing MonitoringVSB acts on a main-bearing temperature trend in one month
Turbit's neural networks caught a slow-creeping main-bearing temperature trend a year before action was needed. By the time the deviation was clear, VSB and the OEM resolved it inside a month — without taking the turbine down.
